Miss Angel Locsin is out of the Darna movie, with finality. (Sigh...) It is with sadness that the Filipino Super Heroine will no longer be portrayed,by far, its best actress.
I have this feeling of deja vu that this will give rise to unexpected stardom for the lucky girl who will be entrusted with "Ding.. and BATO!" The same way that Marian Rivera was propelled to stardom with Marimar. Miss Angel Locsin trasferred to the ABS-CBN network at that time, leaving GMA7 scrambling for replacement.
Kate Valdez is a newbie. But her portrayal of Mira in the famous Encantadia of GMA7 revealed a Superstar in the making. She registers beautifully on screen, her acting and facial expressions measure up to the acting prowess of veterans especially Galiza de Castro of Pirena fame.
Now that Mira is dead in the Encantadia series... could it be that the Kapamilya network spring a surprise to the Darna fanatics?
